Ben Jones is the new manager of the reserves at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Ossett Albion.

Jones was appointed ahead of the holiday weekend along with another former player, Kevin Quinn, who was named as his number two.

Officials at the First Division North club moved quickly swiftly to install the ex-Unicorns on Friday following the departure of former second string boss Lloyd Fellows and coach Luke Griffiths.

As well as Albion, Jones has a wealth of Non-League experience after spells at numerous clubs including Harrogate Railway Athletic, Harrogate Town, Farsley Celtic and Aberystwyth Town.

Jones and Quinn, who previously managed the reserves during the 2013-2014 campaign, will work closely with first team manager Richard Tracey and the U19s at Queen's Terrace.

In a statement released by the Unicorns, a spokesman said: "They will work alongside the first team management and the recently appointed U19's manager, Alex Thomas, to ensure the progression and development of players at the club.

"The board would like to place on record their thanks to Lloyd Fellows and Luke Griffiths for their hard work with the reserve and U19 sides last season."
