FF News
Stephen Tomassen says walking out at Wembley in the FA Trophy Final is an experience he would love to enjoy again with Tamworth. The talented defender was part of the Wrexham side who reached last year’s final against North Ferriby. The game itself brought disappointment for Tomassen – he missed a penalty as Wrexham were beaten 5-4 on penalties. But he says the occasion as a whole was something never to be forgotten. “When you start out playing football, you want to play at Wembley – you never dream of it happening,” he said. “A lot of players never get that experience and, for others, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For me, despite our result, it was an unforgettable experience. “To walk out on that pitch in front of 15,000 fans, it’s hard to put into words how that feels. “It was a big day, a good weekend for supporters, the players and their families. “I just wish I could do it again now with Tamworth.” Source: www.thelambs.co.uk Source
