After an electrifying start to the game today (the first 15 minutes were all Canvey at their best) when we could have scored more that the one goal - excellent play from Neil Midgley - it went a bit subdued. When Thurruck bundled in the equaliser it looked to me that we might need to clinch at 'ricay on Monday.

The winner by that man Boylan (again) despite some very indifferent refereeing decisions was well deserved and means that on Monday the lads get there trophy and can then show their style by scoring another 5 or 6.

on a side note I looked at the BBC Essex website and lo and behold they have finally agreed that Canvey exist. It is worth noting that they jhave a link omn the page to the Canvey websit but oops it is to the unofficial dormant (not dead)site. Now waht does that tell everyone about BBC Essex or thr official site?

See you all there MOnday for high celebrations
