there are a few reasons for this,

1. he hadnt lied and left the club in such a crap situation before
2. people couldnt moan about him to much for risk of loosing the opportunity of watching football at Canvey
3. everyone wanted his money in the club, now it isnt there the truth comes out

p.s. i have never sung his praises
p.p.s. the people who are doing the job for Canvey now are doing an amazing job in very hard circumstances and long may they continue doing so. i personally have 100% trust in what they are doing and everyone i have spoken to also does. i feel this is an exciting time for Canvey Football Club and am looking forward to next season more than i was the one just past. since we won the Ryman League the club has felt stationary and that all the enthusiasm went, and for the first time in a while that enthusiasm is back. this is down to the fans and the people brave enough to step up to the plate and do what is required, and for that all those who have helped no matter how small deserves our thanks and praise

I have sung his praises many times over the years, I will not take a single word back, I have never spoke to him face to face, I have not slagged him.

 

I am dissapointed by his decision, but recognise his achievements and generousity over they years.

 

I do not even blame him for what he has done, I am saddened by the way he has done it.

You say greed he says ambition. What is he gaining in financial terms by joining Chelmsford apart from not bankrolling us?

2. Chris et al please make sure when information comes out through the press, it comes with as much information as you can give us.

To be perfectly honest, the complexity of the situation means that not everything can be communicated. I know this is frustrating, but bare with the guys, as soon everything will be sorted and we'll have massive smiles on our faces!!!

Just thought it might be an idea to have a thread “stickied” to remain on top of the page that’s updated by one person only who is in a position to update us with any latest developments/decisions/announcements so at least we might have a chance to gauge what is going on without trawling through assumptions/rumours etc.

Any questions raised from this thread should have their own question thread started from the enquirer so that question may be answered.

A coordinated approach would be a great communication aid.
