Who is? It appears to me that the same people who have praised him on this forum over the last few seasons are now slagging him off! Talk about the worms that turned

there are a few reasons for this,

1. he hadnt lied and left the club in such a crap situation before
2. people couldnt moan about him to much for risk of loosing the opportunity of watching football at Canvey
3. everyone wanted his money in the club, now it isnt there the truth comes out

p.s. i have never sung his praises
p.p.s. the people who are doing the job for Canvey now are doing an amazing job in very hard circumstances and long may they continue doing so. i personally have 100% trust in what they are doing and everyone i have spoken to also does. i feel this is an exciting time for Canvey Football Club and am looking forward to next season more than i was the one just past. since we won the Ryman League the club has felt stationary and that all the enthusiasm went, and for the first time in a while that enthusiasm is back. this is down to the fans and the people brave enough to step up to the plate and do what is required, and for that all those who have helped no matter how small deserves our thanks and praise

Aylesbury Chairman Quits

Sounds all to familiar

I was also reading today about Oxford Utd having to pay their ex-chairman £450k a season to use their ground.

I have sung his praises many times over the years, I will not take a single word back, I have never spoke to him face to face, I have not slagged him.

I am dissapointed by his decision, but recognise his achievements and generousity over they years.

I do not even blame him for what he has done, I am saddened by the way he has done it.

Sh^t happens!!!

My focus is on the future.

Chalky Boy do you not trust the people who are trying to get us out of this mess with according to Glen, Jeff King`s help?

No. I don't trust King. They are in a no-win situation because they either do what he says to get the ground or they end up with him fu*king us over again. I trust them 100 per cent but i just don't want dic*head to be associated with us any more.

I care about Canvey football club, not Jeff King. So yes, he got us really far, but do i have to keep on and on saying thank you now that he has RIPPED that away from us, lied and done deals to benefit himself.

No i bloody well do not. No one is bigger than the club. I support the club. I do not support Jeff Fu*king King. I do not care what he did for us any more. I only care about what he has done to us NOW. That is what is important NOW. We are being demoted due to GREED.

You say greed he says ambition. What is he gaining in financial terms by joining Chelmsford apart from not bankrolling us?

I think in the long term things will sort themselves out! I am very nervous about the way things are going at the moment.

I do not believe we are getting sufficient information and I do not feel that we are being consulted upon adequatly by the "new regime".

We voted to set up a Ltd company that is what should happen! If not, it should come back to us for discussion, even if this forum has to be used for that purpose, we need to be comnsulted.

Having said that, we are in a position where we have to trust people who are acting on our behalf, I think the main reason they are not consulting properly is because they are not experts in this field, and they are doing their best.

I will continue to ask questions, but I will continue give my unreserved support to Chris and the others.

I hope people keep calm until we come through this, we can then make our individual decisions.

I believe they are doing their best with the short time they have and the pressures that are being put upon them.

I see them sitting between Jeff, the football authorities, the fans and a whole host of others demmanding that things go their way.

I have two requests.

1. Please keep calm and trust the people we elected to represent us.

2. Chris et al please make sure when information comes out through the press, it comes with as much information as you can give us.

To be perfectly honest, the complexity of the situation means that not everything can be communicated. I know this is frustrating, but bare with the guys, as soon everything will be sorted and we'll have massive smiles on our faces!!!

Just thought it might be an idea to have a thread “stickied” to remain on top of the page that’s updated by one person only who is in a position to update us with any latest developments/decisions/announcements so at least we might have a chance to gauge what is going on without trawling through assumptions/rumours etc.
Any questions raised from this thread should have their own question thread started from the enquirer so that question may be answered.

Good idea. What about a number of threads covering group/committees - finance, marketing, club admin, etc.

A coordinated approach would be a great communication aid.
