Dull atmosphere on a terrible pitch. We created a few great chances just didn't put them away. On another day we would of got 3 or 4! Thought Slough were the worst side we've played this season to be honest and we had little to worry about. An Early goal for us and yesterday would of been a cricket score imo. Bet they are thanking their lucky stars newport have been so so poor this season!

 

With uxbridge losing it means next week will be a Massive chance of getting in pole position for the last play off place!

Thought the atmosphere was a bit flat yesterday, maybe because everyone thought the result was a foregone conclusion.

 

1st half was actually quite even, although we did carve out the better chances and should have had a penalty. 2nd half we were all over them, we should have a had more but a combination of the Keeper, some great defending from Steve Daly and a lack of luck kept the score down to one.

 

After this weekends results its now a four way battle between Us, Uxbridge, Burnham & Paulton for the last play-off spot. 4 wins out of Five WILL be enough. I would make Paulton marginal favourites though.

Paulton are away to bridgewater on saturday so hopefully they'll struggle there and then they play burnham whilst we have gosport away so hopefully after the next two games we could be in a very good spot!
