PRESS RELEASE

31 May 2003

Nationwide Conference outfit Farnborough Town have signed former Yeovil Town forward Barrington Belgrave.

The 22 year old has had several clubs chasing him in recent weeks after his contract expired at League Division Three side Southend United.

Belgrave put pen to paper on Saturday and Farnborough Town Manager Tommy Taylor is delighted with this exciting signing, especially as there was stiff opposition from other clubs.

Taylor said, “Barrington is a quick and gifted forward who has his best years still ahead of him. The signing underlines the type of player that I am looking to bring into the club”.

Belgrave started his career as an apprentice at Norwich City before moving to Plymouth. From there the player joined Yeovil Town where he spent just over one season. Ironically his last game was against Farnborough on 11th September 2001 before he was signed by Southend United.
