Conference Premier Relegation Battle

Good evening from White River, South Africa

I am a Newport County fan who, back in December, started a blog dedicated largely to Newport County, but with an additional focus on the other 5 Welsh clubs in the English pyramid.

However, as the course of the season has progressed and Newport have become one of nine sides for whom relegation is a real possibility (though recent form suggests we should be good enough to escape), I have decided to write a 9 article series looking at the 9 clubs who are involved in the relegation battle. The aim is to look at recent form, January transfer window signings, the current financial status, remaining fixtures and anything else deemed pertinent to draw some conclusions about which clubs are likely to be relegated in May. There is also a poll running, which has been filled in by a range of Stockport, Telford, Newport, Bath, Alfreton and Hayes fans predicting which sides will go down. The current stats show surprisingly clear choices.

If you are interested in having a look at this blog, please follow the link to the first article, which is on Bath City http://amberarmy.blogspot.com/2012/02/relegation-battle-part-1-bath-city.html

The next team to come under the microscope will be Lincoln City, hopefully sometime on Saturday evening.

Regards

Welsh Celt
