FF News
Conference South club Bishop's Stortford have added to their attacking options with the signing of midfielder Jay Davies. The 23-year-old joins from Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division side St Neots Town, and he scored fifteen goals from the central midfielder for The Saints last season having joined in a £4,000 deal from Woking. He came through the youth ranks at Peterborough United, making a single appearance in the first-team as a substitute in a 3-1 home defeat against Swansea City in the League Cup. Davies, who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Boxing Day, had a spell on loan at Woking while with The Posh before signing for Farnborough upon his release from the London Road club in 2011. He then moved on to Woking later in the 2011-12 season. Assistant manager Steve Pitt said: "He's got a great scoring record, and I hope he'll bring us something we need. He's been a pleasure to deal with from the moment I was tipped off he was available." Source: Bishop's Stortford FC Source
