Banbury Boss Frustrated After Returning Empty Handed

Banbury United manager Paul Davis spoke of his frustration after seeing his side return empty-handed from St Neots Town in Saturday's Evo-Stik Southern League clash.

Drew Roberts hit the late winner to sink the Puritans 2-1 after new signing Guy Tahin had given them the perfect start in the premier division contest with his first goal only for Lewis Hilliard to equalise against his former club.

Davis said: "I feel for the players, they worked so hard but have nothing to show for their efforts. They are starting to think what they have to do to get something out of these games.

"But games last for 90 minutes and we need to learn that and maintain our concentration till the end. We've got to cut out individual errors, Marvin Martin was at fault for the equaliser and Darius Browne for the late winner.

"We were very good but we've got start picking up points from these performances. The last two games were very tough ones but we should have had two points from them.

"It was good to see Guy Tahin get off the mark, he took his goal very well and hopefully he can get ten between now and the end of the season. The next two games aren't any easier for us but the players still believe we can do it while it's so tight."
