Weekend of "high drama" pleases Conference

The Vanarama Conference have revealed their delight at a weekend of drama across their three divisions, all taken in by a number of big attendances.

Over 42,000 clicked their way through the turnstiles with some clubs recording higher attendances than many in the Football League. Leading the pack were Bristol Rovers, in the Conference, (7,371) Stockport County in the Conference North (2,821) and Bromley in the Conference South (1,988). Had the local derby clash between Wrexham and Chester not been subject to strict ground entry regulations then the 6,338 at the Racecourse Ground may have even been higher.

Media & Partnership support director of the Vanarama Conference Colin Peake stated: "The way our three divisions are shaping up, coupled with many innovations from our sponsors Vanarama to help boost fans going to games this season, there will surely be more weekends like this before each final ball is kicked and our three respective champions known.

We are confident fans will continue to flock in their numbers to watch the action which is really hotting up. Even when the regular season ends we still have our respective Promotion Finals to be played out and they are always full of high drama, twists and turns."
