FF News
Maidstone United's plans to extend the main stand at the Gallagher Stadium have been given the green light. Plans to almost double the size of the stand and create an additional 350 seats at the promotion-hunting Stones were approved by Maidstone Council this week and delighted officials at the Ryman Premier club say work on the extension is due to start in the close season. The project is expected to be completed in time for the start of next season or soon after it kicks off in August and the news has been hailed by United's co-owner Terry Casey, who’s overseen the application alongside Maidstone-based Prime Building Consultants. Casey said: “This is a really important project for the football club and to get the plans through without any conditions is a reward for all the hard work that went in to preparing our submission. "During the close season we can get work started and enhance the facilities to provide more comfort for our supporters.” Source: www.isthmian.co.uk Source
