Colwyn Bay have reached agreement with the local authorities and police to stage this year’s Gary Speed Memorial 10K fun run in the town on Sunday July 12th at 11am.

Once again the event, in memory of the former Welsh international player and manager, will start and finish at the club’s Llanelian Road ground in Old Colwyn and is again expected tp take in the promenade through Rhos-on-Sea and back.
The fun run is open to all who would like to take part and raise money for good causes, and the entrance fee this year is £15.

North Wales-born Gary Speed, of course, played for Everton, Leeds and Newcastle United and served his country with distinction. He always followed the fortunes of Colwyn Bay FC and his father, Roger, is currently patron of the club.
Last year’s fun run attracted over 300 participants and was won by Darren Blazier of Abergele Harriers in 37mins 37 secs, while the first lady finisher was 67-year-old Christine Birch from Conwy.

More details will be made available in due course, but anyone wanting to enter or would like more details can register their interest by filling in the form below or contacting the club on 01492 514581 or email to 10k@colwynbayfc.co.uk
