FF News
Midfielder Steven Jennings is looking forward to the start of the new season and says that it is important that Tranmere Rovers get off to a good start. Rovers host Woking at Prenton Park on Saturday and Jennings is hoping that the hard work in preparation to the season can be put to good use when the action gets underway. He said, "We're working really hard on the training ground. The gaffer is trying to install a hard-working side full of high energy from all over the park. If you get a shirt on Saturday, you're going to have to put it all in because nobody is guaranteed a place. "Rome wasn't built in a day, but we've got to try and hit the ground running on Saturday and gel together as quickly as possible. "In terms of team bonding, we went over to Ireland and it was good for us. We were all in the hotel mucking in for each other and I think that was important for us. We've got a lot of new faces and all the lads who have come in are certainly going to bring quality to the side. "It's important to everybody to get a good start to the season and we're no different. There's probably going to be a bit more pressure on us than other teams, but if we can gel quickly and start picking results up then I think we'll get better further into the season when we know each other inside out."
