Doughboys look for support after clubhouse fire

Wellingborough United have issued a plea for support after a fire ripped through their clubhouse.

A statement on the Doughboys website read:

"In the early hours of 16th November, there was a fire in our clubhouse which has seen extensive damage to our clubhouse and it's facilities.

We have lost the use of our main facility for generating income to keep our club alive in the shape of our clubhouse facility, together with club memorabilia collected over the years. We have also lost our furniture, bar stock, cash register and the facility to hire out to generate income to support our running costs.

Our club is run by volunteers where we give our time voluntarily to help the running of our community based football club.

We would welcome any support that can be given to help us get back on our feet, provide the facilities required for our community club and help those in our local community who look to our club as a social outlet.

You can have your name on our club board as below which will be shown in our club house once we've opened it up again! When you donate, don't forget to let us know which area you would like!
