FF News
Defeat to Southport this past weekend in the Vanarama National League, was the first in five games for Macclesfield Town and many will be left wondering how. The Silkmen were strong and in control of the game throughout, but controversial decisions in the game seemed to go against John Askey and his team. The match was the first time that top goal scorer Kristian Dennis had missed since the clash earlier in the season against Guiesley. Dennis missed the game with an injury and was unable to play any part in the trip to Merseyside and is waiting to be assessed for the next game against Eastleigh. He said: “Kristian was injured for the game and he wasn’t available to us in any form and obviously we lost the game and scored just the one goal. “The goal we scored was from the penalty spot and people will say we missed him but we had to get on without him. “We will look at him again and see how he is heading into the Eastleigh game and see if he’s able to train in the week.” Source: www.mtfc.co.uk Source
