Didcot bosses call it a day

Didcot Town joint managers Jamie Heapy and Ian Concannon have decided to step down.

A statement on the club website read “Didcot Town FC would like to extend an enormous thank you to both Ian Concannon and Jamie Heapy for their tremendous commitment to the Club during their tenure at the Draycott Engineering Loop Meadow Stadium.

They have taken DTFC to new heights in their two years in senior management and I’m sure that this decision was not taken lightly by either Ian or Jamie. All at Didcot Town FC wish them both the best in their new ventures wherever that takes them, but they leave with the knowledge that they will both be welcome back at any time.

In their place, Andy Ballard will take over in a Caretaker role, assisted in the short term by Andy Sinnott. We wish Andy Ballard all the best in this challenging development in his career, and would like to commend Andy Sinnot for his ongoing support for DTFC during this transitional period.

We all look forward to the continued support from our very enthusiastic and valued supporters, in the hope that our push up the league table continues.”
