FF News
Tranmere Rovers defender Matt Hill knows that the players have to step up and improve on their recent displays if they are to achieve their goals this season. The 34-year-old left back says recent performances have not reached their standards and they have been working hard to rectify the matter, starting with this Saturday's FA Trophy home tie against Wrexham. He told Tranmere Player: "We have to stick together and believe what we're doing is right. We're all disappointed, we should be doing better than what we have been doing. "The only thing we can do is work hard on the training pitch and believe in ourselves when it comes to Saturday 3pm. "We are all trying but we do know that we have to get better, basically in both areas. When we get our chances, we have to take them. "When we've started well, we've not taken our chances and they've taken theirs and we've struggled to get back into the game and that has to change. "We want to give the fans something to cheer about and give them something back for their support. "Personally speaking, I didn't have a very good game on Saturday, so through the week I've been working hard in training in order to put things out in the next game. "We're all trying our best. Sometimes it doesn't come off very well. The energy levels have to be high, if it has to be aggressive in terms of tackling and the effort showing and the determination showing then so be it."
