Eastleigh Over-50s Walking Football side got the year off to a good start by winning the inaugural Bournemouth and Eastleigh Invitation Charity Trophy by defeating Bournemouth Walking Football Club.

Two Harry Smallman goals gave Eastleigh a two-goal interval lead but Bournemouth pegged them back and netted two second half goals which then saw a penalty shoot out to decide the winners.

Paul Baker and Smallman netted penalties in a 2-1 shoot-out victory. All proceeds raised including donation of £100 will be forward to the Prostate Cancer Charity.

This will now be an annual charity fixture to be played somewhere around New Year`s Day each year.
