Fairford Town announce 125th anniversary celebration plans

As part of Fairford Town's 125th anniversary celebrations this year, the home league fixture with Shrivenham on Saturday 5 March will be a Former Players' Day.

The clubhouse will be open from 12pm on the day, with former players, managers, coaches and supporters young and old encouraged to attend. If you have contacts with any former players then please advise them of this date, or contact Club President Mike Tanner (07917 861866) for more information. The league fixture v Shrivenham kicks off at 3pm and there will be evening entertainment in the clubhouse too as well as a display of club memorabilia.

The home league fixture with Cirencester Town Development will be played on Friday 6th February. The game was due to be played the following day, but has been brought forward with a bumper crowd expected at Cinder Lane for the encounter with just eight miles separating the two clubs. The last meeting between the two sides was on Monday 28 December with an attendance of 128 witnessing a 1-0 win for Fairford. Kick-off will be 7.45pm.

The postponed fixture against Easington Sports in the Bluefin Sports Supplementary Challenge Cup Second Round at Cinder Lane will now be played on Tuesday 2 February, 7.45pm.
