So happy with the current crop of talent and atmosphere that Mr Cake regularly votes with his size nine's and toddles off to watch League footie with the other yuppy types. Hmm. In the words of your beloved Football Factory: "ar*e kicked to penge"! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

I thought you said:

"I DO WISH POSTERS ON THIS BOARD COULD THINK BEFORE THEY (A) GET PERSONAL AND (B) ENTER A PERFECTLY VALID DISCUSSION ABOUT MOVING FORWARD THE QUALITY OF NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL IN THE WINDSOR AND SLOUGH AREA."

I don't know why the Legoland board at Wexham park was brought into the equation but the answer as to why it was there is quite simple, Lego's offices were in Slough and someone from Slough approached them for a board at the ground. There's a big difference between an advertising board and main sponsorship which was proved when Lego showed their support for their local sports clubs by sponsoring an ice-hockey team in the North-East!

One hand you wish to remain anonymous for fear of abuse yet you feel it's ok to abuse those who have tried to keep the club running over the years. What exactly do you mean by "The small-minded nature of those connected with it"? Various schemes for ground improvements have been explored over the years with the Football Trust/Football Foundation/Football Stadia Improvement Trust constantly moving the goalposts as far as acceptable criteria goes. The vast majority of grant funding now goes to Conference clubs which, in my view, defeats the whole object of lower-league clubs trying to improve their facilities so that they can reach Conference standards!

One thing is certain though, Stag Meadow will NEVER be a Conference-standard ground because of certain criteria the Conference sets which Crown Estates (the owners of the ground) will not allow to happen, therefore, the whole subject of a merger to attain Conference standards is a non-starter because Windsor CANNOT offer the facility of a Conference standard ground even if the unlikely scenario of Slough's fans supporting East Berks Utd at Windsor were to happen.

Sorry for that. Was aimed at one mindless individual and i should not have descended to the gutter with my reply. I never and do did not want this thread to descend into a slanging match.
