oh leo...please don't go...you didn't answer my question...

how long have you supported canvey island fc....

as for us and canvey fans...don't worry about that mate as we have an affinity that you wouldn't understand being a new fan and all....

nite nite...

I am not a new fan, just choose not to run with the pack that's all. An affinity? Yeah, that's why you have come on here tonight spouting your sh*te and putting Canvey down.

Eastside - you think I'm a pratt eh? I am so hurt - like your opinion counts for anything at all eh? Go bore somebody else. Silly little boys.

Me on the board, not interested, you have more chance of getting a pork chop in a synagogue or even replacement windows at the bridge.

I am more your supporter than your power crazy plaything of double glazing salesmen.

Unc, other Urchins, chill.. that comment clearly sounded bad to you guys - I can see why you took Kevin's remark the way you did, but he was talking about ownership, not the way the club itself is being run.

For those who were asking about Supporters Direct, they're a government funded body - a quango if you like - set up to support the formation and running of Supporters Trusts across the country and one of their primary aims (along with supporting football clubs community involvement and suchlike) is to help supporters achieve representation on the boards of their football club, ideally through full ownership. If that's not possible, then they suggest that Trusts look to buy shares in exchange for a seat on the board, or try and negotiate a trust representative on the board. Kevin himself is a fan of a Trust owned club, and has been involved with the movement for years, and he passionately belives (when you speak to him in person you realise this) that the way forward for football clubs is for the fans to be involved in a democratic manner where each fan has an equal say (the IPS route mentioned above).

I'm sure he'd tell you he'd rather that AFC Hornchurch existed than not, but he'd also probably say that he'd rather AFC Hornchurch (once formed) were a Trust run club instead of a PLC or Limited Company for the above reasons.

Think of it as the left wing vs right wing views on football club ownership. Kevin comes down strongly on the liberal side, while Hornchurch appears from the outside to be run in a slightly right of centre manner at present.

What is funny is with that comment it seems you feel some sort of sad need to prove and justify your sexuality here, LOL.

Never mind darling, I believe you - thousands wouldn't.
