Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares:

Guest

Recommended Posts

Tried and failed to get across London to make the Paddington connection despite being full of flu, but whenever your relying on the Northern Line you know it's always going to be a tall order.

Of to bed i went then reliant on text updates from the meadow and the warming glow of a cup of lemsip and on comes Gordon Ramsey.

For those 200 or so who missed it, last nights was a cracker. A liverpool restaurant in the "footballers wives" area of the city run by a fit mum (good god have i reached that stage in life already) and two even fitter daughters, literally Grade A top class meat.

Ramsey came in shouted alot at the head chef who couldn't cook, heaped praise on the 2nd chef that could, re-opended the place with an oppening night having invited the cast of Hollyoaks and z list celebs like louise Owen (michaels wife).

Fantastic seen involving a sisterly hissy-fit when the older daughter stormed off after being demoted to assistant manager by big gordon, who then promptly replaced her with her younger fitter sister before they all lived happily after. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/ladys-man.gif" alt="" />

When i was in Liverpools Albert Dock i actually saw them filming the end of this in a branch of Ha Ha's since which i consider big Gordon to be among my closest friends.

Did i miss the windsor game? What do you think?

I thought it was a great contest, a battle of wits and how they stayed in business for so long is beyond me.

It was strangly absorbing! One question, the bit where they sold the antiques; why?

Hayes man by day. Slightly ironic in an office containing "women of the night".

Didn't see the bit where they sold the antiques i must have been making the lemsip.

I was a rather fascinating insight into the politics and cog of relationships that make or break your local eating house, b*llocks that i used to have to put up with in the hotel on a daily basis from chefs, managers, bints, and waiting staff who didn't speak English on a daily basis. (how come all the chefs and waiters Gordon Ramsey comes across are always English?) Can you imagine dealing with such an aray of ego's and then walking out into the restaurant with 3 piping hot plates of food whilst grinning like you've just got a tenner on the lottery all whilst wearing a pinny?

If only i'd have aplied to work in crossroads*

*it would have been a better career move as they closed that after 6 months.
