Edgware left to fly the flag for the SSML

Recommended Posts

Well, we got through, not a great match, but we got an early goal, withstood some pressure from the home side, and ended up comfortably in charge.

We could have got a couple more late on, but I said when we scored, I would take a 1-0.

Looking at the other results, WGC and Oxhey got hammered, and Leverstock and CSP also went out, leaving us as the sole representive of the SSML.

Eagerly awaiting Mondays draw <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Well done Edgware. Delighted you got through.

Hopefully you can keep flying the SSM flag all the way to the final <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" />

Yes United are OUT, pity, as they were at least a big draw. I think I would like to have Truro, I have read a lot about this club, visited thier website, and I want to play them.

Thing is I want to go to Cornwall, but that would be a tough one.

All we can hope for is a home draw, against one of the 'lesser' clubs.

There are still some step 6 clubs left, and a home draw with one of those those would be a good draw.

...
Well Hillingdon did last season, so here's hoping a SSML club can make it back to back finals.

We made heavy weather of beating Kingsbury London Tigers 3-1 to keep in your slipstream in the league. Two more for Ryno! 32 now for the season - noticed a bloke scouting in the stand.

Gavin - Congratulations, what was their ground like, from one of your pics above it looks a lot smaller than I imagined and very rural.

Gavin - As a personal favour to you I will type out your report from Non-League today, in return can I just ask that you don't start a brand new thread when the FA Vase 4th Round draw is made tomorrow:

Edgware Town relentless FA Vase challenge goes on after they overcame Ridgeeons Eastern Counties League Halstead Town. The Wares goalkeeper Blackburne was the busier goalkeeoer in the opening ten minutes but Paul Rutherford showed that he was capable of as Edgware began to press. In the 15th minute Edgware scored what proved to be the only goal of the game, Phil Kane's fine cross was met by Adam Wallace who netted the all important strike from ten yards. Almost immediately Stuart Fergusson broke through but before he could shoot for the equaliser Paul Marks timed a tackle perfectly to send the ball out for a corner. In the second half Edgware began to take control with Junior Lewis bossing the midfield and his enterprise created some good openings for the Edgware forwards. Halstead pushed to no avail late on.

Hope you get a decent home tie tomorrow.

Why can't you just use this one, the title is appropriate.

Well does it matter, people will automatically know that it is the announcement of the FA Vase draw if there are posts on this thread after 12.30 tomorrow when I think the draw is due to be made.

Not too great, a big main stand, in the old fashioned style, but no terraces anywhere else in the ground.

They put on a nice spread of food for us all afterwards <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
