Excessive use of 'foul' language usually indicates a lack of imagination and/or vocabulary on the part of the perpetrator.

I try to avoid swearing at home (unless I hit my thumb <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />), especially in front of the children.

Recently I managed to make a rare journey to Wexham Park with my boys (aged 12 and 9½). I must say that they were very 'amused' by the swearing that was going on - although most was coming from the pitch!

I am reasonably thick-skinned when it comes to hearing people swear, but it is unnecessary and unpleasant, and might be a factor in people not bringing their children to matches.

As for the forum...come on guys - use your imagination! Next time you're upset by someone, instead of your usual expletive, try calling them a 'rectal orifice' and see their reaction...
