The Reds had to overcome the loss of yet another 2 players early on in the first half when first Salmon (15 minutes) and then Walker (28 minutes) limped off to join the ever increasing list of injured players. The Reds then to stage another second half come back in front of a crowd of 137, after going in the dressing room 1-0 down at the break.

The Scholars started the more lively, but the first real chances fell to the visitors on 23 and 26 minutes, first keeper Bryan denied Moseley. Then a Whitcombe cross saw Bryan and Dunkly tangle before the ball went just wide.

On 40 minutes Bryan was the hero again when he denied Goody with an excellent save. But it was Chasetown who took the lead on 44 minutes when keeper Olden missed a corner and an unmarked Bradbury headed home.

Reds new boy wonder Dunkley collected a ball over the Chasetown defence before chipping keeper Bryan on 66 minutes to level the scores. Ball then tested Olden on 78 when his volley was tipped over by the stand in keeper.

Following some good flowing football it came as no shock when the Reds increased their lead on 83 minutes. A Carter free kick was flicked on by J Smith, and buried by Dunkley.

The spirits of the Red army were lifted further when Hay came on as sub following his lengthy lay off through injury, looking hungary for action he made an immediate impact with some penetrating runs. On 90 minutes Hay played a one-two with Moseley before blasting home the third goal.

Willenhall now entertain Barwell on Tuesday before visiting Vase semi-finalists Oadby next Saturday in a rearranged league game.
