Macclesfield Town striker Chris Holroyd says the team is looking good after a week of good work on the training ground.

Speaking to mtfc.co.uk, Holroyd discussed last week’s result, the squad’s form, and the holroydpreparation for this Saturday’s game against Lincoln.

He said: “It was a busy start to the season with all the games coming in quick succession, so it was nice to have a clear week where everyone can rest up and do some good work in the week.

“The lads are looking good, and obviously we need to move on quickly from last weekend’s result, which was disappointing, but we’ve got a good week ahead of us training and then another busy spell over the bank holiday weekend.”

Macc go into the game against Lincoln undefeated at home, with their only two defeats coming on the road this season. On the hot home form, Holroyd said: “It does give us confidence. If we can be solid at home week in, week out and nick points away from home then that’s a platform for a good season.”
