A. It's A Wonderful Life, directed by Frank Kapra and starring James Stewart.
Q. How is the VideoPlus code worked out? You type a number into your video, e.g. 123456 and the video sets itself to record Channel 1 on 29th Nov from 7:30 - 8:00pm. I have tried to break it loads of times, but can't see any pattern. Regular favourites like Coronatin Street and Eastenders tend to have short, three number codes. More obscure programmes have longer codes.
[ 28 November 2001: This message was edited by: Frenchy ]

Frenchy: I think it's based on how likely a particular slot is to have a programme in it. Therefore, something like Corrie, which has a regular timeslot, will have a lower number than some obscure seven minute Open Univerity thing thats on at 3:15 am. I don't know how the numbers are allocated specifically, but it's along those lines.
Canv: It's to do with the airflow over the surface of the boomerang. As it spins, it creates a vortex, one edge of which moves faster than the other, causing it to move in a circular motion.
At least one of the above answers was a guess.
So, unless anyone can come up with something definitive, here's my question....
