FF News
Steve Watson says Macclesfield Town are more than prepared for the challenge that Dover will throw at them on Friday night. Their Kent-based opponents will enter the tie fifth after only losing one of their five games so far in the League. The home side will, however, look to maintain an unbeaten home record and look to bounce back from last Saturday’s disappointment at Gateshead as quickly as possible. Watson was speaking ahead of a busy Bank Holiday schedule that also sees Macclesfield visit Chester for the Cheshire derby on Monday. He believes the squad have more than enough to take all three points from both games. He said: “Much like the last two games, Sutton and Gateshead, they (Dover) will be another physical challenge for the lads. “We know how they play from when we’ve played them before, but we’ve had people watching them and we’ll set up a team that can play against that as much as we can. “We’re unbeaten at home, but we do need that home win to settle the nerves a little and send out a message. We’ll look forward to Chester from there.” Source: www.mtfc.co.uk Source
