Will it be like this year when there were no NHL games because of strikes. The last match I went to watch was Canucks vs Blue Jackets, and that was 2 years ago.

simple answer: no.

The players want to keep the free market concept so they can be paid silly wages, and the owners and NHL itself want to curb player salaries in order to make money. Until this fundamental difference of opinion is changed there will be no hockey for the forseeable future and my guess would be they may not be a next season either
