Forget the fact we are local rivals, I along with a number of other Southend fans will be doing whatever we can to make sure Canvey Island FC survive. Best wishes Yellow Army <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

It's criminal that we're both playing at home on Friday. Maybe a couple of them would've come down for the afternoon if the fixtures didn't clash.

As I've said in previous posts, If the games don,t clash then a few of us would come more often. If Canvey can work closer with Southend both on and off the field it could benifit the club in terms of support.
Reading some of the posts on the site it is clear that the real football supporters of Canvey Island FC are passionate enough to see this through and build a strong base for the future. I run a club in the Southend Sunday League and I have worked tremendously hard for 16 years to keep that going with little help and at great expence passion for the club keeps me going. Canvey have a ground and a clubhouse, they must use these to the full in order to raise both funds and the clubs profile.

Thanks for the messages of support 'Badgershrimp' though its partly Southend's fault that we get small crowds!! If they wern't doing so well more people would come to Canvey!
Seriously though good luck for next season in the Championship. Great to see Steve Tilson doing so well.
