One of their players Jack Maddams only 17 (would have been 18 on sat) died on Sunday. Apparantly played about 10 games for them. Tonbridge board indicates he went to bed Sat night but had one of those rare heart conditions that just suddenly caused it to fail.

It's very sad for our club. Jack played in the U18's RYL and Reserves and has made a couple of appearances in the 1st team. His service will be next Tuesday (8th) on what should have been his 18th birthday.

Tonbridge Angels FC are in close contact with Jack's family and will be making befitting tributes to this young Angel. The fans have done a dedication thread on the forum and one of his team mates have set up a Group page in tribute to him on face book.

His family are much appreciative of the warmth and wishes our footballing community are extending to him.
