Lambs boss wants more after Trinity win

Two second half goals were enough to give Tamworth a 2-0 victory over Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday as they strengthened our place with the leading pack in the Vanarama National League North table.

The victory saw the Lambs complete the double over Trinity, but player-manager, Andy Morrell, believes there is still plenty of room for improvement.

"I didn't think that we were great," he admitted. "We seemed to be going through the motions at time and were off it. That's not what we are about, but we got away with it.

"We'll take the victory and the three points and move on to the next one.

"We look a bit edgy here at home if we're being totally honest. That said, it's just one defeat in 18 League games, so there are plenty of positives to take out of the season so far.

"We need to be winning our home games and doing it in a way that will bring fans here.

"There is no doubt that we have the quality within the team; we've got some good footballers here but we're not taking full advantage of that at the moment.

"We have things to work on, but we'll keep going because we are really close to clicking and setting fire to our season."
