The final game of a disappointing 2015 on the road sees Farnborough travel to Middlesex to take on local rivals Staines Town.

A first half winner from Reading loanee Bogdan Vastsuk was enough to secure a seventh League win last Saturday, as Farnborough beat Burgess Hill Town 1-0.

However, Boro’ are still searching for their first away win in the League this year, after halting a three game winless run with victory at the weekend.

The Yellows are now five points adrift of safety in the Ryman League Premier Division, with 23 points from 25 games and a goal difference of -22.

Speaking after Saturdays narrow 1-0 Home victory, Manager Spencer Day said: “We’ve just got to try and get a result away from home. Staines are a very different prospect.

“Their pitch will be one of the better that’s left now in this Season. They’re full of pace. I know they’re on a bad run.

“We’re on an appalling run away from home but we’ve been better recently – we didn’t deserve to loose at Lewes. We’ve been very competitive away from home recently there’s no question about it but we need to get a win.

“We’ve said to them [the players] just now that the discipline that we showed today to play in the right areas on a difficult pitch, we need to show away from home.

“We set up the right way. We will be set up to try and get points from the game but also respect the pace that Staines have, but it’s mostly about us.

“We’ve got a very young squad. We definitely need additions. We’re working very hard to try and achieve that.

“But at the end of the day we just literally take the cliché one game at a time and we’ve looking forward to Staines.

“Our form recently has been very good and even when we’ve lost we’ve been very competitive. We’ve got nothing to fear and it’s a very buoyant dressing room with the three points today"
