The announcement came via the club's official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon and confirmed that Britton would stay in charge of team affairs until a new manager was appointed. The tweets read "Adrian Britton has asked the Board to be released from his contract as Director of Football but has agreed to look after team affairs with Jim Rollo until a new manager has been appointed. We hope to conclude this process within two to three weeks.
