FF News
Macclesfield Town captain Paul Turnbull is confident that the Silkmen will escape their bad run of form at the moment and a win on Saturday can be the start of that. After last weekend’s game was postponed against Dover, it’s given the squad a chance to recharge after a busy fixture list and Turnbull says the squads been preparing well for Saturday’s game against Wrexham. Turnbull said: ‘’The postponed game gave us a weekend off, the boys gutted it was off but remained professional and it’s just given us more chance to focus on the next game. ‘’We need to win Saturday, we just need to start working hard as a team again and were working on it in training so hopefully if all goes well then we will take it into the game and get a win which could set us running.’’ The postponed fixture against Dover allowed other play-offs rivals to catch up on games in hand and Turnbull has said it’s kept the Silkmen in a positive position still. He added: ‘’The team with games in hand need to win to get in there, we’ve had a bad run but we will get out of it, the boys are all feeling fresh with weekend of and hopefully it’ll be a good-hard working performance on Saturday. ‘’The playoffs are 100 percent achievable, we’ve got a cracking changing room good lads working hard as a team now maybe a bit of luck and that can fire us into a good run of form to get to where we want to be.’’ Source: www.mtfc.co.uk Source
