Admission £ 3/ £1. Programme £1. Att; 40. The ground is owned and managed by the parish council. There is a decent sized car park and a proper turnstile into the ground. The large clubhouse and dressing rooms are behind the goal with a decent hang over. Only rope around the pitch with no hard standing yet. The home team with the wind behind them scored early and added a 2nd goal deep into stoppage time. Edited January 29 by Rhodes
Rhodes
3 hours ago, Rhodes said: Premier Division Crawley Green 0 Milton Keynes Irish 1 A groundhopper from another Forum was present: Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division Crawley Green 0 MK Irish 1 (H/T 0-1) Admission £3 (concession) Programme: on line only Att: 42 Decided to chose this match for a ground tick and opted to walk from Luton town station, this took just over 20 mins. The venue is actually Luton Town's training ground and consists of a railed 3G pitch, with a small wooden stand and a small covered standing area on one side of the pitch. There is also an office area, part of which is used a refreshment area selling hot & cold drinks, crisps & chocolate. A friendly greeting from the officials when I arrived, they enquired whether I had visited the ground before and pointed out where the various facilities were. The ground is very close to Luton Airport so, as with Bedfont near Heathrow, there was the occasional low flying aircraft passing over throughout the match. CG are currently bottom of the table with MKI comfortably in mid table, the result thus went according to the form book. MKI always looked the more likely to score albeit the only occasion they did so was after 34 mins (according to full time although I timed it at 30 mins) when striker Andre Olukanmi received the ball just inside the area and managed to hook it past the CG keeper who had no chance of making a save. Olukanmi should have added to the score midway through the 2nd half when put clean through but the CG keeper, Ollie Keil pulled off a good blocking save. One could not fault the effort of CG but they didn't really create one decent chance in the whole game. Just managed to catch the 17:13 back to London after the final whistle.
