We are not dead yet. We have to survive, we have to play on and if the council cant see that then they really dont have the peoples interests at heart at all. Like another post intimates,if we cant manage to do what we say we can then we WILL fold and the council will take back the land anyway and do what they will with it. Just because it dosent include houses or factories or loss making art centres dosent mean that these people entrusted with the welfare of the town and its amenities and can roughshod over those very people that put them in a trusted position in the first place. They are there for the community not for themselves. If you cant say YES to a project full of ambition then what chance do the rest of thanet have with this council. As another well written post says, give it a chance and if it dosen't work out then well,you will have your ground back to build on or whatever and get no grief from others who care about tradition, and peoples rights.You will be scarred Thanet council and will NEVER get back into office if you refuse us our rightful place in society. If it works out then you will have been proved right to allow it to happen. If it dosent work out then you get your/our ground back to do whatever you want with.

With no arguments.The backers clearly believe they can do it so whats the problem unless you really do have a hidden agenda. Stop timing us out. If we run out of time to stay in this league, a league we have strived for many years to get into( bearing in mind we dropped from the conference to stay afloat)then we will just drop another league but we dont want that do we?

Thanet council,you are not GOD so stop acting like him!

Because of this club, over 100 years old, you and our town are to the forefront of the sporting news at the moment. Without this you wouldnt be half as famous. Now with this new petition that is going worldwide you are being looked at from EVERYWHERE and a wrong decision now will almost certainly spell the death of your jobs and party here in MARGATE. Hope your leader has been informed of your time wasting tactics here.Act like leaders and allow the REAL community to try and make it in every sphere not just in football. Come on, get your act together stop being devious and give the local people a chance to better themselves. If it dosent work then what have you lost. Absolutely nothing, and you will have been seen to be correct with no comeback from the community.In fact doing it this way could secure your party a permanent place in town. But if you fail us then you fail everyone who cares from all over the world about being given a fair chance and thats really what you should be doing.

Shape up Thanet council or ship out its as simple as that. You kill off this club and on your head be it. We will get in a council, a party that really DOES care for the community and not them selves. Shape up. You are a disgrace to your party. You can save face here but you have to just say "yes" o.k. Go ahead. Its really as easy as that. EITHER WAY YOU CANT LOSE. But it must be better to have the people of thanet ON your side than against.

Maybe a letter should go to all Tory Councillors (especially ones elected with a small majority) informing them that due to the actions of their leaders voters WILL be encouraged to vote against them at the next elections so ensuring the Tories lose control of the council.
