Feel good factor!!!!

I think most of us came away from the game yesterday with a feel good factor but i'm not quite sure why.!!! It has only dawned on me this morning that it was a great and a krap performance all rolled into one game. I think circustances played devils advocat and i'm not sure when our luck will change. The first goal un beknown to all down the cough! end was a massive deflection the second landed at someones feet and the third that dreadful hands up for offside and not given goal. So why so positive.

Well the 600 crowd were magnificent. Hassim Deen showed real courage but above all you can see some quality players emerging and Danny who had not even trained with the players fitted in wonderfully.

He seized the ball for the penalty and gave it the no nonsence treatment. we hit the post and bar countless times and geneerally created great movement.

yet we got hammered. Like to hear all your views on this one. glad i was there and not picking scores up at home.

came away elated. weired!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I also came away feeling like we had won and had to remind myself we lost 5-2 against 10 men for the whole 2nd half. But, the atmosphere was superb in the 2nd half with the supporters singing constantly, and the team putting Staines under almost continual pressure. After we went 3-0 down the players seemed to wake up and got the ball down and really penned them back in their own half. But we shouldnt have to wait until the game is almost beyond us to do this as its not acceptable. For the first twenty minutes we were dire, but then it changed. Great atmosphere in the Hartsdown Rd end though.

There is one of two reason why I think we all felt elated after the game even though we got hammered and that is it is either because Macmahon got injured and it looks like a lengthy injury so we wont see him again (fingers crossed) or that in the from the 21st minute we proved that we can play well against these title chasing teams. If we can play that well against them then we can play better then the others. Up the Gate.

Bit of a poor post there Alex. Nobody should be elated when a player gets a bad injury-especially when it's one of our own-he was doing us a favour and I don't think the lad stood a chance with any of the goals. Fans of his previous club reckon he's good and I for one certainly won't be judging him on half an hours performance. Think before you post.

I know i shouldnt judge a player on an half-hour appearance and i am sure he is good, but he never looked comfertable in goal. I would however thank him for turning up when we needed him and wish him luck for the and i hope his injury is not that bad. You will learn with me that i do regret what i say at times and i do realise that i should not have said ceratain things i dont know whether or not that has to do with i that i have traces of autism or thats the way i am.

Don't worry about it mate-I'm always posting things on here that sometimes make me cringe-Especially when time has run out to either edit or delete them.

Perhaps I'm a bit too soft but I felt really sorry for the guy and my heart went out to him.

Felt a bit sorry for us as well 3-0 down and no sub keeper-but curiously enough things did pick up from then.

Funny how nearly everyone seemed to have a good time yesterday-despite the score.
