So how's things shaping up down your way for this weekend's match?

Any injuries, suspensions, etc? Do you think you have a chance of taking anything away from Haig Avenue.

Things have picked up a little since the managerial change, a draw and a win against Dagenham in the Trophy, is not a bad start.

Any particular players we should watch out for? I know Giles is a pretty decent player. Anyone else?

Have a safe journey up at the weekend and enjoy the game - not too much though!

Cheers!

Your guess will be as good as ours......!
Lately it has really depended on who we have fit and able at the time, but hopefully the situation looks to be improving - rapidly.

Myself and a couple of mates are looking forward to seeing Haig Ave again (as we all used to live down the road from there) and watched the Sandgrounders (Davenport days) and the `pool reserves on a few occasions.
Won't mean a thing to the `fleet faithful but is the Keg(upstairs) still open??!!

You do seem to know your way around the country! If you're hitching from Warrington make sure your GNFC scarf is prominent then I'll stop and give you a lift!

That's the kind of gesture that reaffirms my faith in the human race. Thanks.
But I had convinced an Evertonian from Warrington (with a car) to come along with two Wulfrunians who thoroughly enjoyed all the fun of the Fleet fair(ground ride)...so much so, that I believe one will be watching the Woking match!! That'll be the third game of the season for him.....not bad for a Wolves fan.

Coincidence - I used live not too far from Wolverhampton and have frequented their ground, in fact my brother is a Wolves supporter!!

Maybe he too can be convinced to come and watch a decent team play ...

Actually, I posted the message re Wolves but for some reason even though I was logged on it came up as 'Anonymous'. Afraid my brother lives between Wolverhampton and Stoke so bit far to Stonebridge Road, may be at Telford though.

 • 1 year later...

Cracked it!

Read "Catch 22" or seen "Mash?" The geezers who try to convince their superiors they've gone insane to escape combat duty?

Rest assured, Nicky boy has an inspection coming up at work, or has applied for extenuating circumstnces re. his GCSEs or A levels. Just hope he doesn't turn up in a dress (or the nude) for the Northwich game.
