When we went to the Leigh RMI game, their programme had a good fund-raising scheme. They had sponser a goal, which to me sounds like a very good idea, considering fleet were one of the top scoring sides in the conf last season.

Good idea?

Think this might conflict somewhat with the Supporters Trust - it may appeal to a few people who wont contribute to a Trust, but cant see its sensible to operate 2 differing fund raising ideas (added to which, sponsor a goal" is somewhat open ended & not many people would want that.

I think you'll find that most clubs who operate this kind of scheme do so in small amounts. For example, 50p a goal, which is 'punted' on one particular player for the whole season. Over the course of a season this is not a great sum. So for those who wish to contribute but not to the amounts required for trust donations this could be a perfectly workable idea?

Also, another feature in the programme.....
