He needs to be stripped of his knighthood and investigated for fraud.

Bet he didn't lose a second's sleep over what he did to the staff at BHS

I read today somewhere that a fraud investigation is underway. The demanding by some MPs that he be stepped of his knighthood is in my opinion meaningless tokenism.

Glad he's being investigated.

 

In terms of the events surrounding BHS and his other business dealings, then yes removing his knighthood could be considered meaningless tokenism but I do believe that Phillip Green would be proud of his knighthood and removing it would lessen his status in both his and other people's eyes  - add the fact that he received his knighthood on the basis of his business acumen which clearly is unjustified then I think removal would, to me seem fitting. Admittedly I'd rather see him get convicted but we're a long way off and I bet he can afford some decent lawyers.

I agree with what you are saying cot. I was thinking of the 11000 employees and 20000 pensioners affected by all this -any removal of just Green's knighthood really does them no good. There are of course now calls for him to open his cheque book to sort out the pension fund.

Regretably, the Tories always 'look after their own', i.e., people with money and power.

 

The good thing is that the Met Police are now continually under the public microscope.

 

We have the Tory election expenses scandal under investigation, and now 'Mr Greengrass', and the BHS disaster, so lets wait and see what happens next !!
