I'm pretty certain that it is in Barkingside next to the central line tube stop

Yep that's right. Ford bought Barkinside's ground which is just outside the tube station.

It may be right next to the tube station, but you still have to walk a long way up a hill and over a bridge to get into the ground! <img src="/forums/images/icons/mad.gif" alt="" />

Not a lot of people know that Barkingside, to all intents and purposes, Ford United's reserve side, still play there in the Essex Senior League. The move has helped to ensure that Romford FC could enter the ESL by taking a year's lease on the Ford Sports Ground in Rush Green. The Ford manager Dennis Elliot is both a good bloke and friend of Romford, and his team should not be under estimated in the Premier division.
