I have popped into a couple of bookies to try and place a bet on Canvey winning the league as this season I really do feel confident and would like to make some money out of watching Canvey romped through the league this year.

Can anyone help on where I can place such as bet as everywhere I have been so far has advised they do not take bets for football in the lower leagues.

Also does anyone know the odds on Canvey winning the league at the moment.

I remember a few weeks ago someone mentioning we were second favourites for the league but could not remember what odds.

I think the odds were 9/2 or was it 9/4? I can't remember.

I'll try and dig out the thread in the General forum...unless someone beats me to it!

i hear where your coming from, i think canvey can do it this year... but when it come to gambling you think with your head not your heart.. those are very poor odds to bet on winning the league over a whole season..!! look for more value elsewhere.. maybe a bet on the trophy?

Thanks all, Canv you are probably right as the odds are very small. I was hoping more for 7-1 or something and would have thought it would
have been a good bet then but at 9-2 it's not so appealing.

9-2 5-1 whatever u get is worth a punt if you really think we will rip this league up... i personally think we will piss it by 20 points this season.. but only if you want to chuck a serious amount of money at it..
i wouldnt lay canvey at anything better than 2's i really believe that so dont let me put you off... its just that it isnt really a value bet, if you get my drift

Put a bet on Wardy scoring 30 goals this season. Should be fairly good odds on that one!

take 29 goals away from that shoulders and you'd still be looking at 500-1...
wardy volleying in the last minute winner at blunts wall road from the edge of the box (theirs) to secure the title.. now thats a bet!
