We are the Grays.

Stay at the club he is contracted too and pay him good wages as they build a squad around him or go to a team that are only going to get promotion because the best team in the league went bust, sounds feasible

Surely the bestteam going bust is the same as there being no other strong teams in the league, which is how you went up????

Promotion is promotion no matter how you dress it up.

if you loose or draw a single game for the rest of the season you wont be able to get the 104 points that got us promoted, and where would you have been without their players

Yeah but where would you be without Boylan, Minton, Ward, Potter etc etc

Its all irelevant players come from other clubs just cause we got 5 from Hornchurch.

At the end of the season I aint going to turn round and say "ohh sod it we only went up cause Hornchurch went bust"

Grays were 3 points behind Hornchurch with a game in hand when they lost their money; so to say that the only reason Grays are going to get promotion is because Hornchurch went bust is f**king ridiculous!! You are obviously not very clued up on the situation so please don't comment on it anymore because you're embarrassing yourself. It's just like saying; the only reason Canvey were promoted is because there were no real contenders to them last year. Is that Canvey's fault? Of course not, you can only beat who's in front of you.

and thinking you would be in the position you are in now if Hornchurch hadnt gone bust and you nicked their players is insane. just think of the impact that those players have had on your squad and then give that to a team that had more points than you, dont get me wrong, Grays have more than proved that they diserve promotion, but you must all be quite thankful that Hornchurch went bust,

Yeah, it's like saying the only reason you lot ain't going down is because Leigh, Farnbourgh and Forest Green are just that sh*t and no matter how bad Canvey are they're always gonna be that much worse. You may scrap through this season but it'll be a different story next season I can tell you!

I'm sure you won't but I really hope you don't get relegated because we've all missed the Canvey fixture this season. It'll be good to have it back!!

Indeed, we were more than pleased that they went bust and even more pleased when we signed West, Stuart, Martin & Co but to say the only reason Grays are going up is because of Hornchurch’s demise is laughable. We had just as much chance of winning the league as they did, as our position at the time reflected. No doubt the 5 ex-Hornchurch players have improved our squad no end but our squad was still very good before they joined.
