Horace - Wasn't this post misleading, how come the game was on at 11.54 and off at 2.15 with no rain inbetween

To be fair the pitch was playable...JUST!...But it was a young ref that turned up...kept umming and arrring...both managers and players wanted to play...but after 25 mins of walking round the pitch the ref said it wasnt in the players best interest to play

I’m not sure but I think it’s the polite way of saying ‘The Referees a w*****’ for not playing it.

I'm only suggesting that if the game was called off at 2.15 when it had been dry all day then why wasn't it called off earlier, I'm assuming there was a morning pitch inspection
