.. feeling all of my 63 years (but proud to be hordes' ersatz grandad) I reluctantly made my way to Hertingfordbury Park as I had to mark out the pitch for the all conquering Reserves, at home today to London Colney Reserves, and I knew that I had left the lining machine in unusable condidition.

 

To my delight and amazement, the pitch had already been marked out, beautifully, with thick, straight lines and required nothing to be done! Thank you Lord, or whoever did the job yesterday afternoon!

Horace, maybe you’re having one of those senior moments and indeed it was you who marked the pitch yesterday (then broke the liner). KTFC res played London early in the season and unless their squad has changed over the past months I can’t see them being too much of a problem for you.

We played London Colney in the next round of the Challenge Trophy after they had beaten you. We only drew away to them in the league but, with 13 wins out of 13 so far at home this season we're .... heading for a fall!

It was Deon. I had left it expecting Dave to come along and roll it, but as you saw, he didn't!
