Bookham 3-2 Chessington & Hook

Bookham came back from 2 goals down to gain 3 points against another top 6 side.

 

Chessington took the lead against the run of play and their 1st attack after 8 mins their winger crossing for D. Smith to score. Bookham had 2 free kicks close to the chessington goal but both where saved, before they went 2 down on 20 mins when R. Webber has given too much space and curled his shot home. Bookham hit back immediately through Piercy scoreing from a tight angle following a great save by the visiting keeper from Woodwards header. Bookham equalised direct from a Ramsey's free-kick wide out on the right with no one getting a touch.

 

2-2 at halftime and Bookham got the winner on 65 mins through Woodward after the ball pin balled round the Chessington box. Both side created chances with Bookham having the slightly better forcing the visiting keeper to save while Cupit in the Bookham goal was not too toubled as Chessington looked for an equaliser but the Bookham defence held firm.

Credit to the boys as we could have folded but got a goal back quickly and never stopped battling
