The Last Week of the Capital League Season?

Recommended Posts

Tonight Town take on Leighton Town at Goldsdown Road, kick off 19:45. David Axcell officiates again; anyone would think he likes us!

On Thursday it's St Albans, again at Goldsdown Road.

It remains unclear whether Leyton are able to complete their fixtures, so next week's final game remains in doubt.

Last night's 7-1 demolition of Leighton Town clinched second place rather than having to wait for the Capital League to award Town the Leyton game.

Scorers were- Smith, Sackey (to allow Disco to claim that he's played his penalty to Manny off the goalie's glove and the post!), Crace 2, Grieves 2, Sawyer (on debut).

Don't forget, the final game of the season is against St Albans at Goldsdown Road on Thursday evening, 19:45 kick off.

Town's 4-1 win against St Albans proved to be the final game of the season, as next week's planned game against Leyton FC will not take place. The Capital League has yet to decide what to do about Leyton's record or unfulfilled fixtures. It any event Town's position as runners up is confirmed, with a points total that would have seen the Capital League side top the Western Division.

Here's to another crack at AFC Hornchurch's title next season.
