Greg Dyke - I expect you were hoping for an Eastbourne Borough win last night. It's not Willo the Cat's week is it, not content with letting six goals in on Saturday against Biggleswade Town now Oldham lose at home to Cheltenham.

Eastwood Town will be gutted that County lost last night - Notts are Eastwood's nearest League neighbours and there would have been a capacity crowd for this once-in-a-lifetime game at Meadow Lane (and Eastwood might have won!). I doubt that two non-league teams have ever met in the Third Round Proper before.

Yes but there are still a lot of talking points and it doesn't necessarily have to be all about the SSML Club's involvement, seven non league Club's through to the 3rd Round proper this season is unprecedented and it could be more with Blyth Spartans and Droylsdon in home replays on Tuesday.

Hats off to Blyth Spartans tonight in becoming the eighth non league team through to the FA Cup 3rd Round, and all Willo the Cat can say is close the thread:

Barney Rubble - Many people still have an affinity with Blyth Spartans from their amazing 1977/1978 cup run which only seems like yesterday, they were so close to the 6th Round at St James Park when Wrexham robbed them blind from that disputed corner.
