Potters bar manager - resigns

Recommended Posts

POTTERS Bar Town FC chairman Peter Waller described the resignation of former manager Steve Browne as "disappointing".

The ex-first team boss at Parkfield quit his position at the club on Sunday and citied personal, financial and business reasons for his decision.

His departure after 18 months in charge will come as a surprise to many.

Browne had guided the team to mid-table in the Ryman League Division One North and recently took the side on a five game winning streak.

After thanking Browne for his efforts at Parkfield, Waller said: "It is disappointing to see Steve go, especially after having had a good run in the league up until Saturday.

"We are now in a respectable mid-table position and have the best squad of players since he came here and we believe we can now push on."

The former Dover manager joined the Scholars at the start of the 2007/08 season.

That term the club finished 17th in the Ryman League Division One North.

I see that Potters Bar Town have appointed former Wingate & Finchley and Enfield Town Manager Adam Lee:

I gather Potters Bar Town have put in a seven day approach to Ilford for Bradley Drysdale, I thought Bradders was still with Broxbourne but apparently they let him slip through their fingers after he returned briefly from Enfield Town.

Brad left us to go to Ilford because his best mate wasn't playing regularly for us. So joined a weaker team in a higher league to play with his mate. He then left Ilford and joined Hornchurch (advised by you I'm told clippy) and now is back at Ilford. He needs to settle like he did with us for two seasons.
